Winery Partnership Terms
The terms under which wineries collaborate with SIP SOCIETY to host experiences at their venues.
Last updated: August 12, 2026
1. Independent professional status
By partnering with SIP SOCIETY, your winery confirms that it operates as an independent business and not as an employee, agent or representative of SIP. Your winery is solely responsible for the services delivered at its premises and for all legal obligations arising from its activity.
2. Your responsibilities
- Pricing & availability: you set the prices and availability of experiences hosted at your winery and keep them up to date.
- Insurance: you maintain public liability and any other insurance required for hosting visitors.
- Licenses & permits: you hold all licenses required to operate your winery and serve alcohol to visitors under Portuguese law.
- Taxation: you are responsible for all tax obligations relating to the services and revenue generated through the marketplace.
- Safety & premises: you ensure your premises are safe and comply with health and safety regulations.
- Staff & guides: any staff or guides delivering the experience on your behalf act under your direction and responsibility.
3. The role of SIP SOCIETY
SIP acts exclusively as a digital marketplace facilitating bookings and payments. We do not supervise or control the operation of your winery, and we are not a party to the contract between you and the traveler.
4. Service fee and payment
A 15% service fee is added on top of your listed price and retained by SIP SOCIETY. Payments are processed securely through Stripe and held in escrow until the experience is completed or a valid invoice is uploaded and released, as set out in our Booking Policy.
5. Listings and content
You are responsible for the accuracy of your listing — including descriptions, images, location and availability. Content must be truthful, not misleading and must not infringe the rights of third parties. We may remove listings that violate these terms.
6. Cancellations
If you cancel an accepted booking, the traveler will receive a full refund in line with our Cancellation & Refund Policy. Repeated cancellations may result in suspension of your partnership.
7. Compliance with law
You agree to comply with all applicable Portuguese and EU laws, including those relating to alcohol service, consumer protection, data protection (GDPR) and anti-discrimination.
8. Term and termination
You may pause or remove your listings at any time. We may suspend or terminate the partnership if you breach these terms, act unlawfully or damage the integrity of the marketplace.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Portuguese courts.
