Accessibility Statement
SIP SOCIETY is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, in line with WCAG 2.2 Level AA.
Last updated: August 12, 2026
1. Our commitment
SIP SOCIETY is committed to ensuring that our digital marketplace is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability. We aim to comply with the accessibility requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA and applicable Portuguese law (Decree-Law no. 83/2022).
2. What we do
- Keyboard navigation: all interactive elements can be reached and operated using the keyboard alone.
- Screen reader support: pages use semantic HTML, appropriate landmarks, ARIA labels and alt text so content is announced correctly.
- Heading hierarchy: a logical heading structure (one main heading per page, nested sub-headings) aids navigation.
- Colour contrast: text and interactive elements meet minimum contrast ratios for readability.
- Accessible forms: form fields have labels, errors are announced and required fields are clearly indicated.
- Visible focus indicators: focus states are clearly visible when navigating by keyboard.
- Responsive design: the website adapts to different devices and supports font scaling up to 200% without loss of content.
- Reduced motion: animations respect user preferences for reduced motion where supported.
3. Compatibility
The website is designed to be compatible with the latest versions of major browsers and commonly used assistive technologies, including screen readers on Windows, macOS, iOS and Android.
4. Known limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, some third-party content (such as provider images and videos) may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.2 AA. We are working with our providers to improve this over time.
5. Feedback
If you encounter an accessibility issue or have suggestions for improvement, please contact us at hello@sipsociety.pt. We take accessibility feedback seriously and aim to respond and, where possible, resolve issues promptly.
6. Review
This statement is reviewed regularly and updated as we continue to improve the accessibility of our website.
