Wine Academy Partnership Terms
The terms under which wine academies collaborate with SIP SOCIETY to offer courses and educational experiences.
Last updated: August 12, 2026
1. Independent professional status
By partnering with SIP SOCIETY, your academy confirms that it operates as an independent educational institution and not as an employee, agent or representative of SIP. Your academy is solely responsible for the educational services it delivers and for all legal obligations arising from its activity.
2. Your responsibilities
- Pricing & availability: you set the prices and availability of your courses and experiences and keep them up to date.
- Insurance: you maintain public liability and any insurance required for hosting students and visitors.
- Licenses & accreditation: you hold any accreditations, qualifications or licenses required to deliver your courses, including any required for the service of alcohol in an educational setting.
- Taxation: you are responsible for all tax obligations relating to revenue generated through the marketplace.
- Instructors: any instructors delivering courses on your behalf act under your direction and responsibility.
- Content accuracy: course descriptions must accurately reflect the level, content and duration of the training offered.
3. The role of SIP SOCIETY
SIP acts exclusively as a digital marketplace facilitating bookings and payments. We do not supervise or control the delivery of your courses, and we are not a party to the contract between you and the student or traveler.
4. Service fee and payment
A 15% service fee is added on top of your listed price and retained by SIP SOCIETY. Payments are processed securely through Stripe and held in escrow until the course is completed or a valid invoice is uploaded and released, as set out in our Booking Policy.
5. Listings and content
You are responsible for the accuracy of your listing — including descriptions, images, prerequisites and availability. Content must be truthful, not misleading and must not infringe the rights of third parties. We may remove listings that violate these terms.
6. Cancellations
If you cancel an accepted booking, the traveler or student will receive a full refund in line with our Cancellation & Refund Policy. Repeated cancellations may result in suspension of your partnership.
7. Compliance with law
You agree to comply with all applicable Portuguese and EU laws, including those relating to alcohol service, consumer protection, data protection (GDPR) and anti-discrimination.
8. Term and termination
You may pause or remove your listings at any time. We may suspend or terminate the partnership if you breach these terms, act unlawfully or damage the integrity of the marketplace.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Portuguese courts.
